Sex-For-Grades: Nigerian Lecturer Challenges His Female Students

In the wake of the BBC investigative documentary ‘Sex for Grades’ which showed how some lecturers in the University of Lagos and the University of Ghana sexually exploited their female students, a lecturer in the Federal University of Kashere, Gombe State, Aliyu Maigodo, has challenged his students to come out and expose him if he has ever harassed them sexually or extorted them.

Taking to his Facebook page, Maigodo wrote

CHALLENGE
I am Aliyu Maigado, a lecturer with Department of Animal Science, Federal University of Kashere, Gombe State.
Over the years, I taught several courses and interacted with many students, both male and female.
If as my student, I ever extort money from you; demanded for or sexually harassed you, between you and your God, kindly report and expose me. Thank you.

Meanwhile, A female graduate of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife, said she was sexually harassed by one of her former lecturers, The Nation reports.

The graduate (name withheld) said she first noticed the lecturer’s lustful eyes when she was in 200 Level in one of the departments in the faculty.

She said the man found a way to lure her to his office where he declared his lust for her.
