31 days to guber election, Bello’s Chief of Staff resigns

Barely 31 days to Kogi state governorship election, the running mate to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Govenor Yahaya Bello; Chief Edward Onoja has resigned his position as Chief of Staff.

This was contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade Arike who named former Director General (Protocol), Abdulkareem Jamiu as the new Chief of Staff to the governor and Dr Gabriel Ottah would replace Jamiu as new DG Protocol.

People have speculated that there is high possibility that Edward Onojo would emerged as running mate to Governor Bello as a result of blown rift between Bello and his deputy, Elder Simon Achuba who is currently facing impeachment proceedings.

The political letter reads thus;

“Consequent upon the resignation of the former Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kogi State, Chief Edward Onoja, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has approved the appointment of former Director General (Protocol), Pharm. Abdulkareem Jamiu as Chief of Staff to Excellency.
