CDQ Speaks On Dissing MI Abaga In His Track

MI, CDQ

Nigerian rapper CDQ has refuted claims that he dissed MI Abaga in his song, while the Chocolate City boss’ beef with Vector tha Viper lingers.

CDQ recorded a cover of Reminisce’s recent single, ‘OGB4IG’, which many believed it was a subtle diss directed at MI, however, he said he didn’t mention anybody’s name in the song, so it was not a diss track for anyone.

The rapper, in a chat with Sunday Scoop, said it is okay to be controversial with rap music and diss tracks are also welcomed. “I didn’t mention anyone’s name. I only delivered what rap is all about. Sometimes, rap music sounds controversial (and that’s okay). This is not RnB,” he opined.

“Hip hop comes with this by nature, so ‘diss’ is part of the rap culture,” he added.

MI Abaga and Vector’s beef is one of the major stories making headlines in the entertainment scene, which different observers said to be good for the rap culture. The incident was also said to be reawakening rap music in Nigeria.
