Gov Akeredolu returns home after weeks of absence

After weeks of absence, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu will on Friday return to Akure, the Ondo state capital.

Akeredolu has not been in the state for almost a month and his deputy, Mr Agboola Ajayi has been acting since he went on vacation.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that, amidst speculations that the Governor’s vacation might mainly be due to health challenges, the Ondo State Government earlier explained that the absence of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu from the state for nearly a month is in pursuance of state-related matters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Meanwhile, plans are under way to receive Rotimi Akeredolu on Friday at Akure, the Ondo state capital, as most of his supporters are warming up to receive him with branded T- shirts.

The Governor is expected to be received amidst celebrations at Akure Airport at the weekend.
