Officers of the Nigerian Amry in Edo barracks have arrested a fake female soldier who uses her late husband’s military uniform to defraud innoncent members of the public and also carry out illegal activities in the state.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that Operatives of 4 Brigade Command of the Nigerian Army in Benin arrested the female fake soldier identified as Angela Maidoki while escorting smuggled vehicles.
The fake female soldier who confessed during interrogation that her late husband was a lance corporal in the Nigerian Army until his demise in 2017 in Maiduguri while fighting Boko Haram and she is presently in the custody of the police.
“The money I get ranges from N8000 to N15,000 depending on the vehicle.
“I bought this uniform. If you look carefully, it is different from the real military uniform” the mother of five said.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor further added while parading the suspect before journalists that she will be charged to court when investigation has been concluded.
