Anthony Joshua storms Afrika shrine, prostrates to ‘high priest’ Femi Kuti

Nigerian-born British boxer and heavy weight champion, Anthony Joshua is having a great time in Nigeria as he tours notable places that represent Nigeria’s rich heritage.

And one of such places is the Afrika Shrine in Ikeja area of Lagos State.

Joshua made a stop at the shrine on Thursday night were Femi Kuti was performing on stage.

Recall that Afrika Shrine was founded by Nigerian music legend, late Fela Kuti and is currently under the tutelage of Femi Kuti.

30 years old, Joshua while in the shrine, climbed the stage to meet Femi Kuti, who was performing at that time, and prostrated in the typical Yoruba tradition of greeting elders to salute the 57 years old legendary singer and successor to Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s afrobeats.

The Heavyweight Boxing Champion further presented his four belts to Femi, who surprisingly, wore one of the belts on his neck.
