Police arrest 26-year-old man for threatening to kill his mother in Nasarawa

The suspect

Operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested a 26-year-old man identified as Kamaldin Abu Sabo on Monday for attempting to kill his biological mother in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa state.

Speaking with newsmen on Monday, the NSCDC Commandant in the state, Mahmud Gidado Fari disclosed that the mother of the suspect reported that her son has been threatening to kill her for no just reason.
Gidado Fari added that the 26-year-old suspect was arrested because he attempted to kill his mother and he would soon be charged to court.
“It is wrong for anybody to say that he would kill another person. What makes this case different is that she is his biological mother,” the Civil Defence boss added.
The suspect identified as Kamaldin who had a skull tattoo on his right arm with scars on his face and body told journalists in a chat that he lives on Shendam Road in Lafia.
I dropped out from Government College Keffi. I am a Tailor and did not attempt to kill my biological mother. And I did not agree with the statement of the NSCDC that my mother reported me; it was my elder brother who reported me to the NSCDC.”
He added: “I had the tattoo because of the fancy I have for it, but I am not a cultist.”
But when asked why he had many scars on his face and body, Kamaldin did not reply.
