Coronavirus: Lagos Deputy gov. Hamzat refuses handshake from Sanwo-Olu at Isolation center

The Deputy Governor of Lagos state, Obafemi Hazmat has turned down the handshake extended to him by the Governor of the state, Babajide Sanwo-olu with a jovial attitude, over fears of Coronavirus at Isolation Center, Lagos state.

This is coming days after an identified Italian national whose names have not been made available to the public visited Lafarge PLC, Ogun state for equipments assessment and evaluation, got sick and was quarantined after it was confirmed to have been infected by the deadly disease, Coronavirus by medical experts.

This moment was captured in a video where the deputy governor declined the handshake of the governor and performed legshake with him at the new facility built to contain infectious diseases including the novel coronavirus (Covid-19).

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that Mr Sanwo-Olu had earlier performed the legshake with the state’s commissioner for health, Prof. Akin Abayomi on Sunday after arriving at the facility for inspection.

The widespread of Covid-19 has made the legshake act popular as people now take it as a new form of greetings to restrict touches.
