A 28-year-old man identified as Yakubu Afonja has been remanded in Ikoyi Custodial Centre by a Chief Magistrates’ Court in Ikeja, Lagos State for allegedly defiling a neighbor’s four-year-old daughter in Lagos.
The suspect identified as Yakubu Afonla was charged with defilement after he allegedly inserted his penis inside the little girl’s vagina.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the incident reportedly occured on February 11, 2020, at Balogun street, Iju Ishaga, Lagos.
Afonla pleaded not guilty after listening to the charge against him
Chief Magistrate Olufunke Sule-Amzat gave the order for the suspect to be remanded in Ikoyi Custodial Centre pending when the case would be filed at the Ikeja Special and Sexual Offences Court.
Sule-Amzat adjourned the case until May 21.
