Modibbo Adama University sacks two lecturers and Deputy Registrar for sexual harassment and fraud

The governing council of Modibbo Adama University have sacked two senior lecturers of the University after they were found guilty of sexually harassing their student in Yola, the capital of Adamawa state.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the sacked lecturers identified as Dr Yakubu Bobboi and Dr Toma Fulani Mbahi of the Department of Animal Science and Range Management.

The senior lecturers were penalised for their involvement in the victimisation and sexual harassment of one Miss C. A. Bathon, a Masters student in the Department.

This was contained in a statement released by the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Aminu Gururmpawo on Tuesday March 3.

It was also learnt that a Deputy Registrar, Bakari Girei has been sacked for misappropriating N1.12 million, said to belong to the university’s Primary School Parent/Teacher Association’s (PTA).
