Police officer arrested in Adamawa for kidnapping

Adamawa State Police Command have arrested a non-commissioned police officer identified as Abdulrazaq Dahiru over the kidnap of some residents of the state.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the sergeant was paraded alongside 70 other suspected kidnappers, armed robbers and rapists and he is presently undergoing interrogation.

Reacting to the incident, the state police commissioner, Audu Madaki confirmed the arrest.

Madaki said that “The suspects had conspired and kidnapped people in parts of the state and collected three point eight million naira (N3.8m) as ransom.

“That on the 08/ 03/ 2020, while interrogating the apprehended kidnappers, one among them confessed to having been romancing with the NCO, Sgt. Abdulrazaq Dahiru.

‘’The Command apprehended the NCO and he is now undergoing interrogations.”

It was further gathered that the police officer supplied the kidnappers nine live ammunition which facilitated their criminal activities on three different occassions.

13 AK 47 Rifles, 761 rounds of live ammunition, 18 magazines and five locally made pistols were also recovered from the suspects.
