Coronavirus: UEFA Considering ‘Suspension Of Champions League And Europa League’

UEFA is reviewing whether to suspend the Champions League and Europa League due to the coronavirus.

According to Sky Sports, Senior figures want the competitions to be suspended with the disease beginning to affect a number of the teams involved.

This is coming following the suspension of some UEFA matches due to the fear of the deadly virus.

Recall that Serie A suspended its league some days ago and it was followed by La Liga on Thursday.

Real Madrid was scheduled to face Manchester City at the Etihad in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 ties on Tuesday, 17th of March, but their first-team squad has been placed in quarantine.

While Getafe’s match against Inter Milan was suspended on Wednesday.
