Coronavirus: Skip jumat services and churches, Oluwo of Iwo appeals to Muslims and Christians

Oluwo of Iwoland, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi who was suspended by Osun Traditional Council of Obas over disrespect has appealed to citizens of Osun state especially Iwo indigenes to wash their hands and keep their family safe owing to the outbreak of Coronavirus.

This appeal was made in a video obtained by WITHIN NIGERIA on his Instagram page on Thursday, 19th March, 2020.

In the video, the suspended monarch said that Iwo indigenes who are muslims should not attend Jumat on Friday and Christians should abstain from churches on Sunday.

Oba Akanbi also advised guests from overseas to quarantined themselves and most importantly people should stay away from them for now.

He added that there would be no room for non essential visitors in the palace and prayed that God would heal the land.
