A 52-year-old security guard identified as Dako Aaron has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl.

This was contained in a statement released on Sunday, April 5 by the Police Public Relations in the state, Bala Elkana while announcing Dako’s arrest.

Bala revealed that operatives of the Okokomaiko Police Station arrested Dako, a security guard who resides at Olanrewaju Street within Okokomaiko, for raping his 13-year-old victim.

Bala said the suspect allegedly dragged the victim into his security post in two different occasions, first on February 2nd and March 13th.

He said the victim was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and forensic examination.

According to the police spokesperson, police records indicates that the suspect is an habitual paedophile. He was last charged to Court on February 22nd 2017 for raping a minor.

Bala said the suspect will be charged to court soon. He also called on parents to beware of paedophiles preying on their children during the lockdown period.

Meanwhile, operatives of Lagos State Police Command have arrested a suspected paedophile identified as Christian Chikezie, has been arrested for allegedly raping a  9 year old girl in Ikorodu.

Bala said on March 30th, a woman (name withheld) reported at the Ikorodu Police Station that on March 29th at about 9pm, she kept her 9 year old daughter (name withheld) in the care of a lady simply identified as Mercy, and left for hospital.

”On getting back from hospital, she discovered that the girl is no longer there. On searching for her, she saw her with one Christian Chikezie ‘m’ coming out from his house.  On enquiry her daughter told her that the said Christian Chikeze had sexual intercourse with her. The survivor was taken to hospital for medical treatment and forensic examination” the statement read

Bala said the suspect was arrested by detectives from the Juvenile Welfare Centre, Ikorodu Police Station and transferred to Gender Unit, Command Headquarters,  Ikeja for discreet investigation and prosecution.
