Oyo discharges two more coronavirus patients

COVID-19: Face mask now a must in Oyo State, says Seyi Makinde

Two patients of COVID-19 were on Sunday released to their families and relatives in Oyo state after their last two recent test confirmed them negative of the virus.

Governor Seyi Makinde, who also doubles as the chairman of the State’s COVID-19 Task Force, announced this.

Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, in a statement, the Governor said the development has reduced the number of active cases in the state to six.

According to the governor, the State has discharged nine COVID-19 patients.

He urged residents to continue to follow the guidelines released by the Task Force towards preventing the spread of the virus.

Makinde said: “Two confirmed COVID-19 patients were discharged today after receiving their second negative test results. This brings the number of discharged cases to nine. So, there are currently six active cases in Oyo State.”
