Man dies from Coronavirus in Delta state after visiting Lagos

Two out of the five COVID-19 patients in the isolation centres in Delta State have been discharged after they tested negative.

This was disclosed by Governor Ifeanyi Okowa via his verified Facebook account on Tuesday.

“It is my pleasure to announce the discharge of two of the five #COVID19 patients in our state.

“As we continue to monitor the recovery process of the other three active cases, I ask that you all continue to adhere to the precautionary measures and isolation directives we have put in place.

“Together, we will beat this,” he said.

It would be recalled that six COVID-19 cases have been confirmed so far in Delta State with one fatality.

The governor had in a state-wide broadcast earlier on Tuesday, announced a partial relaxation of the ongoing lockdown which started on April 1 to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

The partial ease on the lockdown, according to him, will start on Thursday, April 30.

He added that workers from Grade Level 12 and above as well as the artisans are to resume work, adding that residents must compulsorily use face masks.

He added that there will be a dusk-to-dawn curfew in the state.
