VIDEO: “Coronavirus is real”, man lamented as ambulance arrives his community in Ikotun to pick up patients

Video of a man filming an ambulance evacuating patients from his neigbourhood in Ikotun, a Lagos community has surfaced online.

A closer look at the video, one would discover that the man filming the incident seemed to be shaken as he records the ambulance evacuating “four patients”.

While filming the incident, the man can be heard calling the name of his street, Kayode Adeolokun street in Ikotun, Lagos, saying Coronavirus is real and appealed to people to take it seriously.

However, it has not been confirmed if the patients being evacuated are COVID-19 patients.

One of the medics who arrived with the ambulance had on a face mask but wore no gloves or coveralls, which are required for handling COVID-19 patients.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has disclosed that the agency is currently struggling with lack of bed spaces for the treatment of COVID-19 patients in Lagos state.
