PHOTOS: 40 men from Zamfara hidden inside a truckload of cows intercepted in Lagos

The Lagos state security personnels have intercepted a trailer loaded with cows and about forty men coming from Zamfara state.

The trailer was intercepted by security personnels at the end of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway this afternoon, Monday May 4.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the driver and his passengers were ordered to return to the state where they were coming from after they were intercepted.

Recall that in a bid to curb the spread of the deadly disease, Coronavirus, interstate travels are currently banned and only transportation of essential goods and services are permitted between states.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that a truck loaded with fruits with about 50 persons comprising women, men and young children hidden underneath the fruits has been intercepted by Kwara State Police Command.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the travellers who were coming from Zamfara State were immediately sent out of the state.

Reacting to the development, the spokesperson of the command, Ajayi Okasanmi in his Twitter handle yesterday evening disclosed that the people hid beneath load of fruits inside a truck in an attempt to deceive law enforcement agents.
