Assistant Commissioner Of Police Dies In Kano

An Assistant Commissioner of Police, Atiku Nagodi, died in Kano State on Monday. His death is the latest among increasing deaths in Kano.

Nagodi, until his death, was the Mobile Squadron Commander 9, Police Mobile Force in Kano.

The Kano Police Public Relations Office, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, confirmed Nagodi’s death to newsmen.

He said Nagodi died at the age of 54.

The PPRO said that Nagodi died of protracted illness.

“He did not die of coronavirus. He died of protracted illness.

“l will give you the full details when l get to the office on Tuesday”. he said.

Funeral prayers were observed at the residence of the deceased on BUK road and he was buried.

The late MOPOL Commander is survived by a wife and children.

In the other news, second civilian governor of Sokoto State, Dr. Garba Nadama is dead. The Sokoto State Government, in a statement on Tuesday, confirmed the development. Nadama died at the age of 82 years after an ‘illness of natural cause.
