PHOTOS: Rivers Task force group nabs kidnapper, rescues white man who was abducted in Owerri

A yet-to-be identified white man who was kidnapped in Owerri, the capital of Imo State has been rescued by a task force group in Rivers state.

The kidnap victim was rescued in Egbelubi Ndashi, Etche by a task force group constituted by His Royal Majesty, Eze ENB Opurum, Ochie of Etche Land.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the task force group was constituted by his royal majesty to block and guard the boundaries at Ndashi.

It was also learnt that the group pursued and over powered the kidnappers after the kidnap victim was transported to Egbelubi in Ndashi.

One of the kidnappers was caught and handed over to the Nigerian Police, Okehi Division.

Reacting on the development, the Divisional Police Officer thanked the youths for their efforts and promised to ensure that Etche is free from crime.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the death of a suspected notorious kidnapper and leader of a gang terrorizing the East-West axis of Ogoni-Uyo road has been confirmed by the Rivers State Police Command.

This was disclosed by the Police Public Relations Officer of the state, DSP Nnamdi Omoni.
