Veteran Nollywood actor, Femi Branch is celebrating his 50th birthday today, 14th of May. Over the years, the respected actor has earned a good reputation in Nollywood industry for his roles in movies among other things.

Taking to Instagram to celebrate, Femi wrote “Happy 50th Birthday to me. #femibranch@50”

The father of two began his career at Obafemi Awolowo University in 1991, the same year he featured in a Yoruba stage play titled Eniyan. He later featured in a movie titled Orisun (meaning: Origin) produced by members of staff of Obafemi Awolowo University but his first appearance on television was in 2003 in an MTN Group television commercial titled “Dance with me”. Femi was famous for the role of “Oscar” he played in a Nigerian soap opera titled Domino. He has since starred in over a hundred Nigerian films, a few of which he produced and directed.

Recall that few years ago, the movie director celebrated 25 years in Nollywood and he used the oppourtunity to share details of his relationship with Genevieve Nnaji, Fathia Balogun and Kate Henshaw. The actor and movie director opened up on his relationship with fellow movie star Fathia Balogun saying he almost caused some issues in her marriage. According to the controversial actor, his work relationship with Fathia has seen them both play roles as couples and this didn’t completely go well with her ex-husband Saheed Balogun.
