The councillor representing Vulpi Ward identified as Makana Ngari who was declared wanted over an alleged involvement in cattle rustling and other activities which violated his oath of office has reported to the police.

WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that Adamawa State Government has declared a councillor representing Vulpi Ward in Numan Local Government Council, Makana Enan Ngari wanted for alleged cattle rustling.

Reacting to the development, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Suleiman Nguroje confirmed this on Thursday May 14.

Suleiman revealed that Ngari has been moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for further investigation.

Nguroje said;

“The Adamawa State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that the Councillor representing Vulpi Ward in Numan Local Government Area has submitted himself to police.

“The Councillor was earlier declared wanted by the Adamawa State Government, following allegations of taking part in criminal activities.

“He submitted Himself to police in Numan and had since been moved to State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for discreet investigation.”

Residents of Numan have been asked to remain calm and peaceful as the police is already carrying out an investigation.
