President of Nigerian Veterinary Association, Prof Bello Agaie dies from Coronavirus

Tragedy as the President of Nigerian Veterinary Association, Prof. Bello Agaie reportedly died from Coronavirus complications.

Niger State Government has confirmed the death of Prof. Bello Agaie who is also a former Dean of Students Affairs at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University.

The death was announced by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Abubakar Sani via Twitter.

She tweeted;

“Governor Abubakar Sani of Niger State has revealed that so far ten (10) persons have been confirmed positive for coronavirus out of 202 samples collected and tested.

“Meanwhile, Niger State has lost a Professor of Veterinary Medicine, Professor Bello Agaie of the Usmanu Danfodiyo University to COVID-19.

“He prayed that Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatu Firdausi.”

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that chairman of DAAR Communications Plc, Raymond Dokpesi Jnr, has recovered from coronavirus (COVID-19) and has been discharged from the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital isolation centre.

Mr Dokpesi was discharged hours after his father, who is the founder of DAAR Communications, and his two children were discharged after recovering from the disease.
