Yobe state Chief Judge, Musa Nabaruma is dead

Justice Musa Nabaruma, the Chief Judge of Yobe State is dead.

According to Channels Television, a member of the family identified as Hussaini Nabaruma confirmed the death of the Chief Judge on Tuesday, May 19.

It was learnt that Nabaruma who served as the Chief Judge of Yobe for about nine years (the longest in the state) died on Monday night after a protracted illness at the National Hospital in Abuja.

He was appointed as the Chief Judge of Yobe state in 2011 by the immediate past governor of the state, Ibrahim Gaidam.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state has urged Nigerians to disregard an online report claiming there were COVID-19 related deaths in the state, saying that no such case was recorded in the state.

Buni said this in a statement on Thursday by his Director General, Press and Media Affairs, Malam Mamman Mohammed.
