Council chairman in Rivers state, Princewill Odiari dies from COVID-19

Tragedy as the Executive Chairman of Asari Toru Local Government Area in Rivers state identified as Odiari Princewill reportedly died from Coronavirus.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the deceased, Odiari Princewill who is a strong loyalist to the state governor, Nyesom Wike lost his battle to the viral disease on Wednesday night, May 27.

Officials of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, in the state, carried out his burial at the Port Harcourt cemetery, today May 28.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the Manager of one of the 2 hotels demolished by Governor Nyesom Wike has tested positive for COVID-19.

Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Paulinus Nsirim who made the disclosure Sunday evening said the development validates the State Government’s proactive fight against COVID-19.

Nsirim stated that the Manager of demolished hotel Prodest, Bariledum Azoroh is among the 27 new cases of coronavirus recorded in the State on Sunday.
