Boko Haram members attack Borno community, kill 60

Boko Haram members have reportedly killed atleast 60 persons in a fresh attack in Faduma Koloram village in Gubio local government area of Borno state on Tuesday, June 9.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the sect members stormed the village in gun trucks and motorcycles, shooting sporadically.

A source said;

“They got into the village around 12:15pm and the first place they attacked was Zowo ward at Faduma Koloram. They accused the people there of spying on them and vowed to teach them lessons. Virtually all the houses in the community was torched”.

The source added that when some persons who managed to escape returned to the village hours later, they met their houses in ruins.

This attack on Faduma Koloram comes barely 24 hours after the sect members attacked another community in Borno.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that suspected Boko Haram insurgents have reportedly abducted three humanitarian workers and a soldier along Monguno/Maiduguri highway on Tuesday, June 2.
