BREAKING: Obaseki In Meeting With Secondus, Wike, Tambuwal, Others

I’m Yet To Receive My Chief Of Staff’s Resignation Letter, Says Obaseki

Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State is in a meeting with some governors elected on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to firm up his defection to the party.

Sources disclosed that Governor Obaseki is meeting with the National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus; governors Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto), Nyesome Wike (Rivers) and other top PDP leaders, in Abuja.

Though the details of the meeting were not disclosed, however, it was gathered that the meeting was to pave way for Governor Obaseki’s entry into the PDP to actualise his second term aspiration, having been disqualified by All Progressives Congress, APC.

Recall that Godwin Obaseki today insisted he has not joined another party following his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday.

Obaseki, in a tweet, said: “I have not moved to a new platform yet to seek re-election.”

In another development, the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Wednesday, extended the interim order barring Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State from arresting Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the suspended National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), over his alleged indictment by a panel of inquiry.
