Benue University VC tests positive for Coronavirus

Professor Msugh Hembe, the Benue State University has tested positive for Coronavirus.

This was confirmed by the Vice Chancellor, Hembe in a post he shared on his Facebook page.

The vice-chancellor has directed all staff of the university and close associates to undergo Coronavirus test and also to isolate themselves.

He wrote in the Facebook post;

“On Monday, 29th June, 2020, my test result for COVID-19 returned positive.

“I have been in isolation since I found out on Monday about my positive exposure to the virus.

“Staff of Benue State University and close associates are advised to check themselves, isolate and be pragmatic.

He warned everyone to take responsibility, adding that “the virus doesn’t move; we move it. Take responsibility.”

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that after 43 days in “forceful detention,” Susan Okpe, the woman whose name was announced as the index case of COVID-19 in Benue state, has cried out.

She insists she doesn’t have COVID-19 yet her name is being publicized and as if that was not enough, no medication were given to her for the 43 days she’s been kept in isolation, yet she has no symptoms.
