Major traffic congestion in Lagos as trucks and fuel tanker crash on Kara Bridge

There was a major gridlock on Kara bridge, Lagos-Ibadan expressway which was caused by a road accident involving two trucks and a fully loaded fuel tanker.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the traffic jam affected cars on the inward and outbound lanes of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

According to report, two people were injured in the accident which happened at about 1.45am on Friday, July 17.

It was also learnt that a part of the bridge has been cordoned off while trans-loading of fuel is ongoing.

Men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and fire fighters as well are at the scene of the crash.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that amid outbreak of Coronavirus and lockdown imposed by the federal government in some states and Abuja, a resident of Lagos state has taken to Twitter to alert the state government that people see the deadly disease as a joke.
