Nigeria records 600 new cases of COVID-19, total now 35,454

As the nation, Nigeria continues its fight against Coronavirus, another 600 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

The new COVID-19 cases have increased the numbers of confirmed coronavirus cases in the nation to 35,454.

This was disclosed by the NCDC via its verified Twitter handle on Friday.

14,633 patients who recovered from the disease have been discharged and 772 deaths have been recorded, the NCDC reveals.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi has ordered the immediate suspension of five special assistants on markets for failure to guard marketers in observing the COVID-19 safety protocols.

The affected aides were suspended less than one month after they were appointed and swore-in at the ecumenical centre, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State capital.
