PDP youths descend on members caught with 'ballot' papers in Ondo primary

Four persons who were allegedly caught thumb printing ballot papers ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have met their waterloo as youths of the party descended on them.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the supposed offenders were dragged to the police by the youths of the party.

It was also learnt that the youths of the party raised the alarm and descended on the offenders barely hours to the accreditation of delegates.

Following the alarm raised by the youths, it was later discovered that the thumb-printed ballot papers with the suspects were just specimen used for training and enlightenment by some aspirants.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the voting for the election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer for the October governorship election in Ondo State has started.

The voting commenced after accreditation of 2,000 delegates at the International Event Centre, Akure.

“Voting started around 2:25pm and it is going on smoothly at the moment. There is not cause for alarm”, Zadok Akintoye, the party’s publicity secretary said.
