Nigerian man recounts how Policemen treated him like animals along the Benin-Ore expressway

A Nigerian man, identified as Danbabanaija on Twitter, has taken to the platform to call on the police force to investigate and dismantle all the police check points on Ore Benin expressway, especially Benin by pass.

Recounting his ordeal, Danbabanaija, who left Lagos for Benue State, on Saturday 25/7/2020, with his cousin, said they were stopped by some of the members of the Nigeria police force, after so many check points and they were asked to pay the sum of 150,000 for not just reason, using a POS.

He said they were kept under the rain for more than an hour, and then beaten and insulted by the officers.

After being treated like criminals, they were directed to POS where they were charged 10,000 Naira, which they claimed was declined but the money was debited from his account. And they were eventually allowed to go after they extorted money from them.
