Court remands man 47, for beating pregnant wife to death in Ondo

A 47-year-old man identified as Olabode Oluwaseun has been remanded by an Akure Magistrate Court on Wednesday July 29 for beating his pregnant wife, Blessing to death.

According to a police prosecutor who testified in court, the sad incident occurred on April 3 in Akure, the capital of Ondo state.

The police prosecutor further revealed that a blow to the woman’s abdomen silenced her and her unborn baby.

Presiding over the case, Magistrate N. T Aladejana ordered that the suspect, Oluwaseun be remanded in police custody before adjourning the case till September 8.
