The Executive Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu has revealed why he was treated at a medical facility in Abuja after he was diagnosed with the COVID-19 despite reports that the state’s isolation and treatment facilities have one of the best survival rates.

WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that the Executive Governor of Abia state, Okezie Ikpeazu has tested positive for COVID-19. This was disclosed in a statement released on Monday by the Commissioner of Information in the state, John Okiyi Kalu.

WITHIN NIGERIA also reported that 25 days after Governor Okezie Ikpeazu tested positive for Coronavirus, the Executive Governor of Abia state has recovered from the deadly disease, COVID-19.

While responding to a question during a virtual interactive session with reporters, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu disclosed that it was not until he arrived in Abuja to seek further answers on his ailment that a second COVID-19 test was conducted and the result returned positive.
