Drama in Osun Assembly as Lawmaker says he does not know Governor’s nominee from his constituency

MILD drama in Osun State House of Assembly on Monday as lawmakers reportedly halted the plenary session during the screening of nominees for Judicial Service Commission.

The lawmaker representing Ejigbo state constituency, Hon. Isreal Oyekunle started the drama when he told other members of the state assembly that he does not know a nominee identified as Adebayo Waliu Salmon from his Constituency.

Following the drama, the speaker identified as Timothy Owoeye, who was presiding over the plenary ruled that the house should go on an hour break for the nominee to reappear before it.

Sources within the house revealed that the nominee was asked by the speaker to meet with the Lawmaker from his Constituency and resolve differences before the house reconvenes.

The nominee, Adebayo Wasiu Salmon was among the nominees sent to the house by the Executive Governor of Osun State, Mr Gboyega Oyetola for confirmation into the state judicial commission.
