PHOTOS: INEC distributes Edo electoral materials under tight security

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday has began the distribution of sensitive electoral material for the Edo governorship election.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that a lot of security agents were present at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in Benin, the capital of Edo during the distribution.

It was also learnt that the head of voter education and publicity (INEC) in Edo, Timidi Wariowei supervised the distribution exercise alongside party representatives.

The Edo governorship election is scheduled for September 19 where eligible voters will either return the sitting governor or vote for a new candidate.
