Nigeria records 201 new cases of COVID-19, total hits 58,848

As the battle against Coronavirus continues, Nigeria has recorded 201 new cases of the deadly virus in eleven states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its official Twitter handle on Wednesday night.

The centre, NCDC revealed that Lagos recorded 77 of the 201 cases, followed by Rivers with 37, Plateau with 25 and FCT 13.

The rest are: “Kaduna – 12, Ogun – 12, Adamawa – 8, Taraba – 7, Imo – 4, Kwara – 2, Osun – 2, Abia – 1, and Oyo – 1”.

The total confirmed cases so far in Nigeria now stands at 58,848 of which 50,358 have been discharged.

However, the infection has claimed 1,112 lives.
