How Asaba movie industry accuses celebrities of using ‘juju’ when they grow bigger – Ruth Kadiri spills

Nollywood actress, Ruth Kadiri has opened up on how the Asaba branch of Nollywood oppress celebrities and cage them when they’ve grown bigger.

The mother of one took to her verified Instagram page to share a video of her ranting about the sorry state of the branch.

According to Ruth, the branch places value on one’s fame and ability. Ruth Kadiri further revealed that they try to bring down a celebrity once they see that they’re now bigger than them.

She further gave an analogy with Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade. Ruth talked about how they were banned from the Industry when they started growing.

“Asaba place value on your fame, once you start growing they try to oppress you and if they can’t, they accuse you of using juju” she said.

Ruth further compared the industry to that of Lagos, saying Lagos Nollywood isn’t like that as unlike Asaba that builds and destroy, Lagos will continue to build you.

Sharing the video, she wrote:

“Lagos and Asaba industry My point! No body should stress me, If you have a different opinion, argue with your keypad…”
