Kidnapped journalist’s wife regains freedom in Calabar

Mrs. Uduak Judex Okoro, wife of a Journalist who was kidnapped Tuesday, has regained her freedom.

Mrs. Okoro is the wife of the Sun Correspondent in Cross River State and Chairman of the Chapel (Correspondents).

She was kidnapped on Tuesday by 8.30 pm around Big Qua town in Calabar Municipal local government area of the State.

The victim (Mrs Okoro) was released on Thursday night at about 11.30 pm after an undisclosed ransom was paid.

When the husband contacted her, Mr Okoro on Friday via phone, he confirmed the release of his wife.

“Yes, my wife has been released, she is in good health. She was released on Thursday by 11.30 pm in Calabar South local government area of the state. We thank God for her release,” he stated.
