General Ifo Omata: Identity of Army commander accused of ordering soldiers to shoot at protesters goes viral

On Tuesday, October 20, will be a day Nigerians will remember in years to come as a day its leaders came hard on them with a clinched fist because peaceful citizens took a stand against police brutality.

The #LekkiMassacre started at about 6:45pm, when three unidentified men arrived the Lekki-VI toll gate and removed all the CCTV camera’s mounted there.

Minutes later, the lighting at the Lekki toll gate was switched and shortly Nigerian soldiers stormed the toll gate and opened fire on peaceful protesters.

News circulating online suggests that one General Ifo Omata was identified as the Nigerian Soldier who ordered the shooting of peaceful protesters at the Lekki-VI toll gate.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that the soldiers were led by Brigadier General Omata on a dead or Alive mission at the Lekki-VI Tollgate.
