Actress Uche Elendu opens GoFundMe after her store was looted during the #ENDSARS Protest

Nollywood actress, Uche Elendu has opened a Go Fund Me account requesting for 50 thousand dollars.

This is coming after she took to social media to cry out that her store was looted after suspected thugs hijacked the peaceful #ENDSARS Protest organised by Nigerian youth.

”They took all my years of struggle and hardwork from me.. everything.. I thank God for life. Posterity will judge all of you. E shock me ooooo #endsars #endbadgovernance ??????????????????????????????????” . She wrote.

Within Nigeria did some research on GoFundMe and discovered that her company “Killer Curves” had opened an account using photos from the damaged store.

“20-10-2020 #ENDSARS Protest was disoriented by thugs which lead to loss of lives and properties, small businesses have been looted and shops destroyed in Lekki, Lagos Nigeria. Let’s help these affected families and small businesses before we loose more families to suffering and depression. God Bless you and God Bless our home Country Nigeria. #NewNigeria.” They wrote

As at the time of writing this report, the account had generated only 205 dollars in over 24 hours.

However, Uche Elendu had also taken to Instagram to thank her US-based friend who is also her US distributor for opening a GoFundMe account for HER, which is in contrast with the description which says; “it’s for all affected shop owners”.

“My friend in USA that set up a go fund me account for ME”, Uche wrote.

Within Nigeria recalls that actress, Doris Ogala took to social media to put a lie to Uche’s claims, saying the photos and videos Uche shared on social media are not that of her shop as her shop is way smaller than that. Doris added that even though her shop was looted, she didn’t need to share photos of other people’s shops to make the damage appear bigger.
