Ganduje’s aide, Yakasai Who Got Suspended For Criticizing Buhari, Criticizes Him Again After Being Reinstated

Salihu Tanko Yakasai, who was recently reinstated to his position as Special Adviser on Social Media to Kano state Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, after he got suspended for criticising President Muhammadu Buhari-led government during the nationwide #EndSARS protest, has again called out the president.

Yakasai had few weeks ago, taken to his Twitter handle @dawisu, to accuse President Buhari of being insensitive to the plights of Nigerians.

“I have never seen a government with zero empathy like that of President Muhammadu Buhari.

“So many times when his people are going through a difficult time and expect some sort of tap on shoulder to reassure them that he is in charge, but he failed to do so.

“The ‘I don’t care attitude’ is on another level.

“To speak to your own people over issues that are bedevilling them has become something like a favour you are doing to them.

“Over and over again, you cannot spare five minutes to address the nation to calm them down, the same people you went to the 36 states to beg for their votes, it is heartbreaking.”

In reaction to his attack on Buhari, Governor Ganduje then suspended Yakasai.

But in a tweet on Wednesday, October 28, the Kano state government reinstated him writing,

“H.E Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje OFR has approved the reinstatement of his Special Adviser on Media, Salihu Tanko Yakasai from his suspension.”

Few days after his reinstatement @dawisu again, took to Twitter to call out Buhari over his failure to protect the lives of citizens.

“The rate at which lives are lost with no end in sight is heartbreakingly devastating. The primary and number responsibility of any government is safeguarding lives and properties, without this, consider yourself a failure,” Mr. Yakasai said on Twitter.
