Edo Cult War: ACP who was rumored dead, surfaces alive with arm support (photo)

New report has debunked the death of Assistant Commissioner of Police who was shot on Friday at the Upper Sakponba road end of Benin, the Edo State capital, during a gun duel between a rivalry cult gangs.

The ACP whose name was withheld in the previous reports that announced his false death has been identified as Agabi Godiri and he is currently recuperating in the hospital.

WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that Agabi who was not in uniform when the incident happened, rammed into the armed cultists at the scene of their clash where they opened fire at his car, he managed to escape after he zoomed off from the area, however, he escaped with injury.

Agabi who heads Benin Area Command Metro of the Edo state police command, was seen in the hospital with arm support while he was escorting some visitors who came to visit him.

According to journalist, Festus Alenkhe who also visited the hospital, the police Area commander only sustained minor injury during the attack and he will be discharged soon.
