As the battle against COVID-19 continues, Nigeria has recorded 318 new cases of the deadly virus in 13 states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.

This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its daily update for Sunday, December 6.

According to states breakdown of the new COVID-19 cases, Lagos-104, Kaduna -59, FCT-50, Rivers-17, Ogun-16, Kano-14, Nasarawa-14, Akwa Ibom-10, Katsina-10, Edo-7, Oyo-5, Sokoto-5, Plateau-4, Taraba-3.

There are now 69,255 confirmed cases of Coronavirus and 1,180 deaths have been recorded. 64,774 patients who recovered from the disease have also been discharged.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported Nigeria has recorded 310 new cases of the deadly virus in 9 states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.

This was disclosed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via its daily update for Saturday, December 5.

According to the states breakdown, the FCT recorded 128 new positive samples, Lagos was next with 86 infections, followed by Kaduna with 26.
