Nigeria records 474 new COVID-19 cases

Nigeria records 304 new COVID-19 cases, total now 44,433

As the battle against Coronavirus continues, Nigeria has recorded 474 new cases of COVID-19 in 14 states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.

This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) via a statement released on Wednesday, December 9.

According to the statistics released by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, the Federal Capital Territory Abuja recorded 180 new cases, the highest for the day, followed by Lagos with 134 new cases.

Other states with fresh cases include Kebbi-45, Adamawa-26, Plateau-16, Enugu-14, Taraba-14, Gombe-12, Nasarawa-8, Yobe-8, Rivers-5, Ogun-5, Kwara-2, Ekiti-2, Sokoto-2, and Osun-1.

Nigeria now has 70,669 confirmed cases of the viral disease. 65,242 patients have so far been discharged with 1,184 deaths recorded so far.
