DSS arrests leader of Osun EndSARS protesters

One of the alleged leaders of #EndSARS protest in Osun state identified as Emmanuel Adebayo a.k.a “Captain”, has been arrested by operatives of the Directorate of State Service (DSS).

He was arrested on Thursday morning, December 10, over an alleged impersonation.

The Nation reported that Adebayo who led the second wave of #EndSARS protest in Osogbo on Monday December 7, was accused of posing as an officer of the Nigerian Army in a petition written to the DSS Command.

It could be recalled that Adebayo led the second wave of #EndSARS protest in Osogbo on Monday.

He led some youth to Osun State House of Assembly after they marched from Ogo-Oluwa area with placards with several inscriptions.

They demanded that the Federal Government should order Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to unfreeze the accounts of protesters, release all the detained protesters, probe the statement made by Police O/C legal, F. B Osei of valuing the worth of human life during the sitting of the panel and Osun Government should dissolve the panel of inquiry which is looking into cases of police brutality and extra-judicial killings.
