Residents Flee As Boko Haram Attacks Borno Communities

Residents have fled their homes as Boko Haram terrorists attacked some villages in the southern part of Borno State.

According to reports, members of the dreaded Boko Haram terrorist group on Saturday night attacked three communities of Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State.

The invaders came in their dozens to lunch a coordinated attack on Tashan Allade, Shaffa and Khiributu villages in Hawul Local Government Area, Daily Trust reports.

Sources revealed that hundreds of the villagers had to flee their homes as the insurgents continue to shoot sporadically.

According to a vigilante source, the fleeing villagers are said to be taking refugee in the nearby bushes.

A member of the civilian JTF who gave his name as Balami Yusuf said the insurgents are currently raining bullets on Shaffa and Khiributu villages respectively.

“As I am speaking to you, they are shooting. You can hear from the background.

“We are in the bushes and people are running and children are crying. We are helpless,” Balami said.
