Nigeria records 1143 new cases of COVID-19

NCDC Confirms 86 New Cases Of COVID-19, Total Now 627

As the battle against COVID-19 continues, Nigeria has recorded 1143 new cases of the deadly virus in 19 states and the federal capital territory, Abuja.

This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update for February 13.

According to the centre, Lagos recorded 319 fresh cases while the FCT recorded 157 new cases.

Other states with fresh cases include Kwara-90, Oyo-74, Enugu-72, Nasarawa-69, Imo-58, Osun-51, Gombe-49, Kaduna-31, Edo-23, Katsina-23, Kebbi-23, Ogun-22, Kano-19, Rivers-19, Ebonyi-18, Plateau-14, Delta-7 and Ekiti-5.

Nigeria now has 145,664 confirmed cases. 120,399 patients have been successfully treated and discharged while 1,747 deaths have so far been recorded.

In other news, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that Police have stormed a party in Lagos State and arrested the organizers.

The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, and scores of operatives stormed FM Mogame Event Center at Joel Ogunnaike Street, Ikeja.

CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, Public Relations Officer of the Lagos Police Command, said Odumosu shut down the location.
