Buratai: Nigeria has many ungovernable spaces

Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, the immediate past Chief of Army Staff has disclosed that Nigeria has many ungovernable spaces.

This disclosure was made by the ex-Chief of Army staff when he appeared today for screening at the national assembly.

Buratai who was screened for an ambassadorial position lamented the ungovernable spaces has led to increased insecurity in the country.

The former chief of Army staff also said terrorists have permeated the Nigerian society and won several communities to their side.

He further disclosed that infrastructure in infiltrated communities can win over the people, as the current warfare against insurgency can take 20 years.

In other news, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that Lt Gen Tukur Buratai (Rtd), the immediate past Chief of Army Staff has reacted to the position of the main opposition party, People’s Democratic Party against his nomination as a non-career ambassador.

Recall that the main opposition party, PDP had described the nomination as a plot to shield the ex-Service Chiefs from investigation over the “killing of innocent Nigerians and crimes against humanity” under their leadership.

This was disclosed by the immediate chief of Army staff while addressing journalists after a special gala night organised for him by members of the 29th Regular Course Association of the Nigerian Defense Academy in Abuja on Saturday February 6.
