Kidnappers abducted monarch, four in Andoni, Rivers
On this date, 21st February in 2021, suspected gunmen reportedly abducted the monarch of Ikuru town in the Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, HRM Aarom Ikuru, at his residence on Sunday night, February 21.
According to report, some travellers, including a lecturer at the University of Port Harcourt, who were returning to Port Harcourt from Andoni were kidnapped.
Gunmen killed four at a market in Ibadan, Oyo

Boko Haram killed six internally displace persons (IDPs) in Damboa, Borno
On this date, 21st of February in 2021, terrorists killed at least five internally displaced persons collecting firewood outside the Garrison town of Damboa in Borno State, Northeast Nigeria.
According to report, the incident happened on Sunday when a group of displaced persons went outside Damboa town to collect firewood.
Damboa is located in the southern part of Borno State, the epicentre of Boko Haram insurgency in Nigeria, and close to the dreaded Alagarno forest.
The Local Government headquarters is 87km from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
The People’s Democratic Party won 169 of 360 seats in the House of Reps. election
On this date, 21st of February in 1999, the People’s Democratic Party led by Olusegun Obasanjo won 169 out of 360 seats in the House of Representatives.
In the 1999 parliamentary poll, three parties fielded candidates for the 360 House of Representatives and 109 Senate seats. They were the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and the All People’s Party (APP), the last two groups being allied.
PDP had been the most successful in the December 1998/January 1999 local and state elections. During the campaign, all parties made similar promises to revitalize Nigeria after 15 years of military régimes. However, little ideological differences separated the groups and articulated platforms were largely absent.
